THE CHILDREN FROM THE PUMPKINS
SLIDE 3

Like the villagers from that part of Africa, the woman prayed every day to the Mighty Spirit from the top of the mountain that somebody could help her with the hard work. Finally, the Mighty Spirit replied to her requests as such: She had planted some pumpkins on the land by the river. The plants grew healthy and amazingly fast. She was eagerly waiting for the day when she would sell the pumpkins to the market in exchange of plates and spoons. One day, as she was working, she saw a stranger nearby. He said he was the messenger of the Mighty Spirit of the mountain, bringing the good news that her prayers had been heard. He advised her to take care of the pumpkins and, through them, the Spirit would send her the luck she had been waiting for, then he disappeared.
