• Era
Într-o zi, moşneagul i-a cerut

Once upon a time, there
were an old woman and an old man. The woman had a hen and the old man had a
rooster. The woman’s hen used to lay eggs every day and she was very happy
with this, but would not give the man any. One day the old man got angry and
said: “Hey you! Give me some eggs too, you eat every
day, and I…”
But the woman was evil and didn’t want to give the man any egg
and she advised the man to beat his rooster to lay eggs: “I beat my hen and
look at it now, an egg a day”. And so did the man. After being beaten, the rooster ran away
from the old man’s house.
It was wandering the streets when he found something: it was a
small bag with two gold coins in it.
